PowerShutter Power Bank Stand

I was looking for something similar to this for a while, and I’m really glad I stumbled upon it. They make other tools for content creators, so it seemed legit and I gave it a try. At first, I thought it might be a bit of a novelty, but I am actually quite impressed with the quality of this content creation tool.

I did not start using it right away when I got it because I thought it would be complicated to hook up to Bluetooth, but it was actually quite easy. I like that there is no lag, and I am able to use my phone to record and it is much steadier than holding the phone directly.

It attaches to my phone securely, magnetically. I like that it can be used in both directions landscape or portrait mode, and it’s easy to switch between the two ways. When I click the shutter button to take a picture or start recording, it is very responsive, I don’t notice any lag or delay. The ability to record and take video with just one touch, with the same hand that’s holding the device is awesome, you don’t have to be fumbling with withholding it, and then pressing the button.

The other perk that I like is that it charges your phone while you are using it. On days where I’m doing a lot of recording, this really helps keep my battery life going.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this, I am very happy with it and I am impressed with the quality of it.

I take a lot of photos with my phone when I’m not using my DSLR. When you go to an event, this really helps transform your phone into a much more usable camera and it keeps the battery charged, which is the biggest complaint when using the phone at an event or car show taking photos all day. This feels very well-made and sturdy. It has some weight to it, and it doubles as a phone stand, which I really like. On the opposite side of the magnetic mount is a second magnetic mount, which works great for me because I have a pop socket magnet and I can just attach it on there while I’m using this and don’t have to worry about losing it. Seriously this is a really cool product and I’m really glad I decided to review it. I would absolutely buy this. I can easily recommend it. It worked great and was easy to set up. It even has a tripod mount on the bottom if you wanted to use it that way, which is a really cool extra feature.

This is a solid camera grip battery that for the most part does what it's supposed to do. The build quality is good and the grip is nice and ergonomic. It does charge wirelessly but does not do fast wireless charging, as far as I can tell.

My main issue is with the way it attaches to the phone. It is magsafe compatible and I tried it with several phones. In each case, the grip rotates too easily and the two grippy rubber pads don't really make contact with the phone. This makes it difficult/annoying to actually use as a camera grip.

Here are the improvements that I think could make it more usable as a camera grip:
- the magsafe portion should have the magnetic line below the circle so that it would stay in the correct orientation without rotating
- the magsafe circle should have the grippy rubber material to help is stay better. Right now, it's a smooth plastic that rotates easily.
- the grippy rubber pads should be taller so that they actually make contact with the phone, or the angle of the magsafe portion should be adjusted so that the grippy pads make contact with the phone.

Additionally, the price is pretty high for what you get. The quality is quite nice but I still believe this should cost closer to $20. At the very least, this makes a nice magsafe portable charger or phone stand.

I’ve always wanted a better way to hold my phone to take photos and especially selfies - without a ridiculous selfie stick and this fits the bill, while at the same time providing an excellent mag charger that you can take with you or use on a tabletop.

The phone - in my situation, without a case - snaps onto the magnetic charging surface and holds securely for charging or using as a camera grip. Bluetooth connected easily and my iPhone 14 Pro responds perfectly to the shutter button for both photos and videos.

My daughter had a MagSafe case that also seems to stick well on her Max version of this phone. However with my standard flexible plastic case, there is only a very weak magnetic adhesion.

I thought the included black metal ring was intended to provide that capability in a standard case but it’s just not strong enough. Be careful not to put this ring on the charger itself or it will be very difficult to remove.

The magnet is just strong enough to hold the phone in its flexible plastic (non MagSafe) case to the charger in its standing position, but not for any camera use.

So if you have a MagSafe case or in the rare event that you keep your MagSafe phone uncased it will work fine.

The instructions make no mention of this ring so that was disappointing.

Otherwise it’s well made, relatively powerful and includes a tripod thread.

So for now I’ll use it as a tabletop charger until if and when I get a MagSafe case.

This magsafe phone grip connected to my iPhone 14 quickly by bluetooth. It holds my iphone very firmly by my magsafe phone case. I like how the 5000mAh battery conveniently tops off my iphone when I am in the middle of doing a photography shoot. The textured rubber handle surface makes it easy to grip as well.

This grip has a strong magnet and makes photography with my iPhone a more involved experience. My favorite feature of the grip is how you can still add a magnetic light to the MagSafe area and it works well with my Amaran light. I was really hoping this would have a two-stage camera button, but it's only a single state and I'm not sure iOS or Android would even support a two-stage camera button. It's nice having the ability to wirelessly charge the phone from the grip's built-in battery but I couldn't find a way to turn it off if not needed and it was a bit fussy with my one of my chargers. Build quality is slightly above average and it's an aesthetically pleasing design that's grippy in the right places, so no issues there and I did find it comfortable to use. To me, it still felt a little half-baked and with the asking price, makes it a little hard to recommend, but if it looks interesting, it may be worth trying out.

This magnetic grip/charger/stand works great. This is a refined grip with a very solid magnetic connection that makes your phone feel like a DSLR. The shape and the rubberized texture make it feel natural to hold, which makes it a lot easier to take low light and macro shots that require a steady hand. Plus, it's just more comfortable in general, which helps if you're taking a lot of shots. And, because of the wireless charging, it keeps your phone topped off, and you don't have to bother with turning off your phone screen between shots. The MagSafe connection works with Android phones, too. My Samsung S23 had no trouble - it's held in place tightly (via magnet in case) and it charges perfectly. The grip is immediately turned on and connected as soon as the magnetic connection is made, so you don't even have to bother finding the power button. One oddity, though: I couldn't get the grip to turn off. Double tapping the power and holding down the power didn't work, so I just have to let it time out in 30 minutes.

This makes taking family pics & selfies a breeze. Perfect handle to hold from. Tight hold. Good quality & value. Cool design. Also charges phone. Works great. Durable. Can screw on stick as well.
