Great product but some obvious drawbacks for Paper Users!

This is a well engineered piece of kit and for those wanting a simple to pack and carry stand for a tablet, phone, music book or folder, the stand is well able to cope with any of these in one form or another. I've used it with a 12" tablet resting on it as there is not Clip / holder function for this. There is a Phone Holder which clips to the Base of the Music Rest ...Not sure why it's down there seems an odd place to have the item if your using a Phone for reading off. However if you want both Paper / Tablet and a phone for audio files or something the option might be useful. Obvious drawbacks are it doesnt let you spread stuff sideways easily, so if you'r music is more than two pages wide your stuffed., If your Music Book / Folder of music is heavier than 2Kg like one of my old ones the stand will sink down under the weight. So partly why I moved to electronic, you would forever be getting bits of paper out. The Clips for holding the paper only work at the extreme ends of the Sideways arms and the designer assumes your pages are only that wide, so the clips are no good for anything slightly wider than the stand nor do they swivel or relocate so you cant clip from above. The Stand will wobble at height with any sort of weight on it, so depending on how much page turning your doing you will experience the stand swaying. The Light attachment is good and fits to the top of the stand, has two levels of light and requires 3 AA batteries. It assumes you will be using Rechargeable items and provides a USB c Recharging socket. The Battery compartment has both screw and clip to secure it...which is a bit of PIA overkill in my mind if you have to change batteries, however buying some quality rechargeables should mean you wont need to access this often. The Stand is clean tidy and packs down into its bag easily and offers a low weight alternative to conventional stands. I've used it with a tablet and found it works fine, However I dont need the light or the phone holder for this. If does give me the option of hold a paper sheet or two if needed, however I'm avoiding paper like the plague now. I'd recommend this if you're after lightweight easily packable and mobile kit and for its quality engineering and in theory longevity of use. If you after something to hold large quantities of Paper / books / folders or anything requiring Width... I'd move on or go electronic!

Best music stand of all time, no context. Literally zero-frills setting up and unpacking -- takes seconds from getting it out your bag to having your music sheets deployed and ready to go, and seconds after rehearsal to get it packed up and in the bag. Not hyperbole. Every musician should have this

Great stand - if you use paper sheet music

This stand is lightweight, easy to carry around and setup, and sturdy. I thought with the tablet accessory it would be perfect for reading from my 12.9" iPad pro, too, but the way accessory attaches to the stand is awkward and unsightly on stage. It would work very well if you were using a phone or an iPad mini, but for the larger tablets, its not ideal. It seems to be geared towards those using lead sheets and not classical players who need to be able to read pages and pages of music, often at sight. Customer service was very supportive and showed me a way to use the regular desk for the large iPad, but my Dolfinos Miniput stand works much better, so that will remain my go-to gig stand. For me, this was an expensive mistake that will gather dust or be resold.

A beautiful stand!

I only have had the music stand for 1 day (13 days delivery to Europe) but it is beautiful stand. It’s nice to see that things we use for years and years still can be re-innovated: the easy unfolding and the see-through clips, the weight and small form factor.
Only thing I’m unsure of is the sturdiness… it seems a bit wobbly with papers or a book on it. But, so far well deserved 5 stars!

Really Happy Wirth this Stand

Really practical! Really easy to set up and carry! I’ve got the light and the phone holder as well (good addition)! The carying bag is well padded and have additional section for the light and the phone holder! Really easy to carry around!
