I purchased one of the KraftGeek music stands a few months ago and really like it - it's lightweight, easily portable, and amazingly quick to set up and fold down (although it is a bit awkward with little march--sized books. I was at a workshop a couple of weeks ago, and several folks there had one of these stands, along with the LumiLight 1/4" Screw Light. I was impressed with how easy the light attached to the stand, and how it illuminated the music on the stand. When I got home, I ordered one (along with the carrying case).
When I went to put batteries into the light's battery compartment, I was confronted with an itsy-bitsy teeny-tiny wee little screw that had to be unscrewed. Since I did not have aitsy-bitsy teeny-tine wee little small enough Phillips head screwdriver, I had to use one of the blades in my trusty pocketknife to unscrew the screw. I put the batteries in, and was quite pleased with the light that shone over the page. I have learned from experience that it is NOT a good idea to leave batteries in a music stand light (or anything else that battery operated) in the device because they'll get bored and start to leak all over each other and the battery compartment. So I took them out and placed them in a little resealable plastic bag to keep in the carrying case with the music stand. I just know that if I tried to replace that itsy-bitsy teeny-tine wee little screw, that I'd have a heck of a time unscrewing it to put the batteries, and would probably lose it somewhere. So I'm going to be brave (and put on my big boy pants) and use the stand llight without the teen-tiny itsy-bitsy wee little screw that holds the lid on the battery compartment. If the plastic thing-a-ma-bob that holds the lid closed is not enough to hold the compartment closed, I'll wrap some Velco around it to keep the batteries from falling out.
Thank you,
