MagLink™ Magnetic Phone Mount

The magnet is strong and hold on my phone very securely. It goes on to my dslr camera to do backup video recording and also pair with my pocket 4p to capture wide angle and closed up at the same time. This is really useful but quite pricey.

Let's make this quick, if you own either a camera or a tripod, I really think you'll benefit from this mount if you're looking for one, and have a compatible case or phone. Let me explain.

To start, the joints of this mount are nice and strong, so it doesn't feel flimsy in the slightest, at least as of right now. On the other hand, the magnetic strength is very good too, but, the strength doesn't pair so well with the material choices for this item. The contact points that touch the phone or case are pretty rough and aren't smooth, and I have concerns that with enough rotations while they're attached, that it will causes some pretty significant scratches into your phone or the case that you'd use with this. Some materials can handle it, but when it's metal being held so tightly onto whatever it may be, it can be hit or miss.

That aside, the ability to mount it onto a tripod, or even onto the top of a compatible camera, make the flexibility very appreciated. The wheel to tighten it down into the mount is quite nice too, and is big enough for you to get a decent grip onto it, same with the small bits of rubber that help keep it steady and secure. Plus, it can support the device in both landscape and portrait orientation too, once the arm is extended enough for the alignment magnet to make contact.

If you want a strong mount with two mounting options instead of just one, and can fold up into a much smaller size than most others out there, I think this one might be the one for you, just be careful when you spin your phone or case around on it, though.

5 Stars A Unique and Handy MagSafe Tripod Mount!

I love everything MagSafe, and this tripod mount is no exception! What makes this one especially unique is the ability to attach it to a camera while keeping my iPhone right in view. It’s such a handy setup when taking photos or recording videos, especially when I want to see what’s happening on my phone without having to juggle multiple devices.

The magnetic attachment makes it easy to pop my phone on and off, and I really like the flexibility of being able to rotate it to get the viewing angle I want. The aluminum alloy construction also gives it a nice, solid feel.

It’s a clever little accessory that combines two things I use all the time. I especially appreciate how it keeps my phone conveniently positioned while I’m using my camera. Definitely a unique addition to my growing collection of MagSafe accessories!

Love this tripod mount holes very tightly on my projector. Recommended to anyone that uses tripods.

I really like this mounts but when I saw the price I was kinda conflicted - it feels like a premium price. But then I keep remembering that the thing is entirely metal that I can see, except for the rubber pad on the cold shoe attachment.

The finish is really nice, it’s smooth but not glossy, and the metal edges are. It sharp. The knurling on the tightening ring is the only rough thing on it.

It holds my phone solidly - the MagSafe ring is shaped to match the tail on the iPhone. That also limits its rotation on the back of the phone, but, that’s probably a non-issue. You can still rotate it quite a bit. Might be less stable but for me that’s ok.

I’ve only used the threaded mount, not the cold shoe - it of course held solidly, as expected. There’s no play where it tightens down.

As for the two joints, one adjusts fairly easily, the other feels stiffer, which is actually good if you ask me - it won’t wobble lower down where it matters, it doesn’t wobble up top either, but is easier to change the angle as needed.

It doesn’t rotate - once you attach it, you can only change with the joints pictured, and rotating the MagSafe ring. But for its intended use, I think that’s fine.

In summary, I love using it. Recommendation? If these are the features you need, this product delivers.

I used to have to set up my phone on a separate tripod just to capture photos or videos from different angles for social media.

Here is what you need to know about this product:

1- It is made primarily of metal that is quite robust and high-quality.

2- The contact ring isn't just a simple ring glued onto the metal body; the metal body itself is magnetic and forms an integral part of the unit. This prevents the phone from falling off or the ring from detaching—issues often found in products from other brands.

3- It only tilts up or down; it does not rotate left or right.

4- It uses a standard camera mount, so you won't have any trouble setting it up, whether using the central screw or the square mount secured by a rotating knob.

This is one of those small accessories that ends up being far more useful than I initially expected. The mount is made of aluminum, feels very solid, and the magnetic connection is strong enough that I have no concerns about my phone accidentally coming loose during normal use.

What I especially love is the versatility of the mounting options. Having a standard 1/4"-20 thread means I can attach it to a tripod, arm, clamp or pretty much any photography accessory that uses the standard thread. The cold shoe option is equally useful, particularly if I want to mount my phone directly to a camera or another piece of video equipment. It gives me considerably more options than a basic phone tripod adapter.

The articulated joints are firm and stay exactly where I position them, while still providing plenty of adjustment for getting the phone at the right angle. It also folds down into a surprisingly compact package when not being used.

Magnetic mounting is so much more convenient than dealing with spring-loaded phone clamps. Just place the phone against it and it’s ready.
